More than 300 parishioners participated in the event and received free health screenings. Community agency staff and volunteers went above and beyond to remain at the parish for 2 additional hours to ensure that all were served. Total screenings for the day consisted of approximately 300 blood pressures, 250 blood sugars, 190 cholesterols, 100 mammogram referrals, 60 hemoglobins and 18 prostate cancer screenings. |
